History

Our history in chronological order


1986: Sogemi spa was founded and started developing and producing washer bottles and pumps for FIAT Group
1989: Start of Tape Deck Mechanism production. Grundig and Triumph Adler join Sogemi customer portfolio.
1992: Ford, Blaupunkt, Bosch, IPC also start buying Tape Deck Mechanism from Sogemi: Over 1 million of units yearly are produced. Sogemi beats the Asiatic Competitors exporting also to Malaysia and China
1994: Sogemi joins an International Group: Cebi International, well known in the automotive and home appliances industry
1998: Quality Certification UNI EN ISO 9001
1998: Order from VW and Audi for Washer Bottles and Filler Flap Actuators, thanks to the synergy and the efficient capillary Sales organisation of the Cebi Group International.
1999: Quality Certification QS9000
2000: Quality Certification ISO TS 16949
2000: Start Deliveries to the VW Group with Washer Bottle for Golf 4 and Filler Flap Actuators for A4
2003: A new production of strategic importance: the tail gate latch for the VW Group. This represents the milestone in the development and production of closing systems for several car makers
2003: Start of the ABS sensor development
2004: Quality Environmental Certification ISO 14001
2005: Development of a highly innovative actuator, mounted in the BMW New Mini
2006: Design and development of hood latches and strikers
2007: Sogemi with care and enthusiasm is investing in R&D of innovative products and enlarging the plant
2008: Start Deliveries to the VW Group with Hood Latches and Strikers 
2009: Take-over of Gessaroli Group for Latches production
