Cebi Celebrates 50 Years of Industrial Innovation and Looks Toward the Industry of Tomorrow

Press Release

Steinsel, Luxembourg - June 18, 2026 - Founded in 1976, the Cebi Group is celebrating its 50th anniversary this year. To mark the occasion, Cebi is bringing together its partners, representatives from Luxembourg’s institutions and industry, and its employees at its Luxembourg headquarters to celebrate this key milestone in its industrial history.

Over the past 50 years, Cebi has gradually built an international industrial presence, with operations in numerous countries, while developing recognized expertise in its key areas. Cebi has grown around a demanding product culture: designing, industrializing, and producing reliable, high-performance components tailored to its customers’ needs.

With a presence in 13 countries, the Group combines customer proximity, industrial expertise, and international production capacity. Firmly established in Europe, China, Brazil, and the NAFTA region, Cebi maintains a strong foothold in Luxembourg, where its headquarters and one of its strategic manufacturing sites are located.

Cebi has become a leading international player in electromechanical solutions for the automotive, home appliance, and ventilation systems industries. The Group is among the world’s leading providers of actuation solutions for fuel flaps and charging modules, with a unique offering in terms of scope and volume on a global scale. Cebi ranks among Europe’s leaders in windshield washer reservoirs, temperature sensors, locking systems, and electric seat motors. The company positions itself as a key partner in the evolution of automotive applications, particularly in the areas of electrification and the evolution of automotive platforms.

This 50th anniversary comes at a time when the automotive industry is undergoing a profound transformation. Cebi is investing in product innovation, process digitization, advanced simulation, and artificial intelligence (AI) to improve design, industrial performance, and operational quality. This momentum is particularly evident in Predictive, its operational digital twin platform, which was honored in 2025 with the “AI for Industry Excellence” award at the Luxembourg AI Excellence Awards.

“For 50 years, Cebi has moved forward thanks to its expertise, the trust of its partners, and a shared ambition: to foster an innovative, sustainable, and globally-oriented industry,” says René Elvinger, Chairman of the Cebi Group. “Artificial intelligence and Industry 4.0 will transform many things, but it is still the men and women who create, decide, and build the future.”

Vertical integration is one of the Group’s key strengths. From design to industrialization, including the development of its own automation lines, Cebi controls a significant portion of its value chain. This organizational structure contributes to the Group’s quality and responsiveness, while allowing it to adapt its level of integration according to industrial and geographic contexts, in order to maintain its overall performance in serving its international customers.

According to Domenico Cravioglio, CEO of the Cebi Group, “Our ambition is clear: to remain a leading industrial partner in the automotive and home appliance sectors, capable of designing, scaling up, and producing innovative solutions wherever our customers need us.”

Through this anniversary, Cebi celebrates a history marked by innovation, trust, and industrial continuity. The Group also reaffirms its ambition for the years ahead: to develop innovative products, strengthen the use of AI in industry, and build lasting partnerships with its customers around the world.
